This highly interactive course from the co-authors provides a deep-dive on the Scrum Patterns for improving or properly kicking off your Scrum towards impact. Whether it is about the team collaboration, coaching as a Scrum Master, the product organization or the value stream. You will take away tons of insights for your daily work.

About “A Scrum Book”

This book, recently published, was written over the last 9 years by a mix of practitioners and academia, ranging from the creator of Scrum, Agile Manifesto authors, to professors, practitioners, and certified trainers.

The authors are from Australia, Japan, USA, Denmark, United Kingdom, The Netherlands, Finland and Portugal and include the likes of Jeff Sutherland, James O. Coplien, Lachlan Heasman, Mark den Hollander, Cesário Ramos, Esther Vervloed, Neil Harrison, Kiro Harada, Joseph Yoder, June Kim, Alan O’Callaghan, Mike Beedle, Gertrud Bjørnvig, Dina Friis, Ville Reijonen, Gabrielle Benefield, Jens Østergaard, Veli-Pekka Eloranta, Evan Leonard and Ademar Aguiar.

Trainers

James Coplien

Jim (“Cope”) is the founder of the Pasteur Organizational Patterns project, which was the foundation for the Borland QuatroPro for Windows study that inspired Jeff Sutherland to include daily stand-up meetings in Scrum. This work was also one of the main foundations underlying the organizational principles of Extreme Programming.

In a former life Cope is best known for his design and programming books such as Advanced C++Multi-Paradigm Design, and the pioneering two books of the PLoPD series of edited works. He is also one of the founders of the pattern discipline, and he is the Product Owner for the Scrum patterns effort at ScrumPLoP.

His book Organizational Patterns of Agile Software Development is the most authoritative work on Agile foundations today. He works with Jeff and Ken to keep the Scrum Guide up to snuff. He is a partner with Gertrud & Cope in Denmark, with Scruminc, and also with The Scrum Foundation.

 

Cesario Ramos

Cesario is a co-author of ‘A Scrum Book’, a Certified LeSS Trainer and Professional Scrum Trainer with Scrum.org. He works as a management consultant on small and large scale Agile Transformations.

In the past he was an agile consultant at Xebia, CTO at codecentric NL, a product manager at Atos, a hard-core developer and the lead software architect at PANalytical.

Over the years Cesario wrote numerous papers on agile development and is the author of the book ‘EMERGENT – Lean & Agile adoption for an innovative workplace’. He is happy to be an active member of the ScrumPloP® community and is a frequent speaker at conferences around the world.
